Wernick Power Solutions has announced the purchase of generator specialists, Anderson Engineering Ltd.

This latest move solidifies Wernick’s position within the Scottish temporary power market, and it will significantly increase its presence in the aquaculture sector on the west coast.

Anderson Engineering is a key player on the west coast of Scotland, with a strong reputation for serving the fish farm and marine sectors. The expertise and reputation, built up over the years by Ian and Donald Anderson, will prove invaluable in Wernick’s ability to drive forward in this sector. Donald and Ian’s senior salesman, Kenny Law, has also been key in developing the existing client relationships.

Commenting on the purchase, Wernick Chairman David Wernick said: "We are delighted with this acquisition and by the end of this month, all operations of Anderson Engineering will seamlessly transition to our Glasgow depot. This strategic move enhances our collective abilities, improves our knowledge base and unites two companies and two families that value service excellence above all else for their customers."

For his part, Donald Anderson added: "The business has grown rapidly since its foundation in 2008 but to continue that success we needed more resources and the support of a larger organisation. In Wernick we have found the perfect partner - a very successful family business with shared values and culture, strong leadership and crucially the expertise and resources to make it happen."

Both companies wish to extend their thanks to The Hire Exchange for their instrumental role in facilitating this deal. Their expertise and dedication have been important factors in realising this acquisition.
