Sunward Europe has announced its line up for Hillhead 2024, with the new SWE 50UF mini making its UK debut.
The SWE 50UF will showcase Sunward’s display of six machines, including the 21-tonne SWE 215F-5A.
Lining up alongside such a hulking machine and launching at INTERMAT last month, the SWE 50UF is set to be a game-changer and builds on the success of Sunward’s zero tail range - which earned the company an iF Design Award.
This five-tonne model is positioned between the SWE 35UF and SWE 60UF, with its zero-tail swing making it an ideal for constrained spaces. Powered by a Kubota D1803-T engine, its user-friendly design ensures efficient control and easy maintenance.
Also on Sunward’s Hillhead stand is the 2640kg SWE 25UF (below). This is the zero-tail version of the SWE 25F, likewise being highly suitable for tight jobsites where power is required.
Meanwhile, the SWE 90UF-2PB was launched at the end of 2021 and remains the shortest nine-tonne short-tail excavator (by almost 20 cm) available. Developed for Europe, it combines a compact size with heavy-duty performance. Its short-tail swing and two-piece boom allow it to work in a wide variety of urban tasks, including operating in confined spaces and along walls,
Sunward will also have the 1.2-tonne SWTL 4538 track loader on display, which offers optimal performance on rough terrains such as mulch, rock and dirt. It is also compact and versatile enough to be easily manoeuverable in tight spaces.
Lastly on Sunward’s stand is the two-tonne SWE 20FED – the first electric mini excavator from Sunward. Based on the SWE 20F, the cabbed/canopied SWE 20FED combines durability, reliability, performance and easy maintenance.
