Sunbelt has acquired Hybrid Power Hire as part of its ongoing strategy to develop clean energy solutions.

The new deal sees the Sunbelt fleet of 20kva to 60kva battery storage units increase to over 750, and it will help the company's customers to attain their own emissions targets.

Speaking of the deal, Sunbelt CEO Andy Wright said: “Over the last 12 months we have invested over £100 million into new greener rental products and services. This has included, Stage V plant and machinery, battery and solar lighting, battery tools and electric plant and machinery.

“This acquisition represents the next stage of our journey to be the rental supplier of choice for clean energy products, solutions and services to our customers.

“As a business we are committed to reducing our carbon intensity by 35% by 2030 and through our ‘Our Planet’ strategy we aim to leave a legacy for future generations. This is demonstrated in the work we are doing to reduce our carbon impact and reinvest in the environment and communities where we work.

“Importantly for our customers, in addition to renting the most effective solutions, we can now also provide them with cutting edge data, technology and information that will allow them to see and appreciate the changes made by renting a greener solution from both a fuel, emissions and cost perspective.”
