Makita has launched the RP001G 40VMax XGT ½” brushless plunge router, which has the ability to cover 80m of MDF on a single charge and a plunge cutting capacity of up to 60mm.
The RP001G is ergonomically designed to enhance comfort and ease of use, weighing only 4kg (with a 5.0Ah Li-lion battery) with a height of 294mm. The brushless design of the motor reduces friction to increase runtime and performance to provide a power output of 1,900W, ensuring the user can work for extended periods at a time.
The RP001G is also designed with soft start and electronic brake, limiting recoil to prevent damage, whilst its constant speed control reduces the chance of a drop in cutting speed. Its 3-stage depth stop allows the user to quickly switch between pre-set depths and the micro cutting depth can be adjusted in 1mm increments. The tool also features twin LED job lights to provide improved illumination when working on detailed projects.
The RP001G features Makita’s AWS Bluetooth technology and can be wirelessly connected to Makita’s AWS enabled dust extractors to ensure work environments remain clean and safe. The router is compatible with a 12mm or 1/2” collet chuck.
