There are many ways to climb the corporate ladder and truly understand a business. Jonathan Wernick joined the family firm as a yard operative, working at the Wickford Hire depot in the summer of 2006, before moving on to do seasonal work at Wernick Events. From such beginnings, he has now risen to the role of Chief Executive of the Wernick Group.
There are a few other stops in between, of course, including his first full-time role as Depot Manager at Wernick Events in 2012. By September 2013, he was General Manager for Wernick Events (Seating & Infrastructure), before joining Wernick Hire as Regional Manager for the South East in 2015.
Jonathan was then promoted to Deputy Managing Director in January 2017 assuming responsibility for all three southern regions. At the same time, he joined the Wernick Group executive team as Group Marketing Director.
His latest promotion comes about following the imminent retirement of former Chief Executive, Simon Doran, who steps down on June 30. Jonathan thus takes the reins from July 1.
