As visitors to the Executive Hire Show and our roadshow events will attest, Mutiquip does rather well with its waterless IQ tilesaws and Makinex equipment. The UK arm of the company used Plantworx to introduce three new product lines.

First up, the results of a partnership established in 2021, when the company formalised an agreement with Flextools to distribute Multiquip brand and MQ Whiteman products in Australia. The deal seemingly works both ways, with several Flextool surface prep products on display at Plantworx - powered screeds and concrete pokers as seen above.

Also making a debut on the Multiquip stand were several new vacuum lifters from Dutch brand Hamevac. The petrol engine driven VHU-1000-B, weighing 85kg and immediately below, is able to raise slabs up to a tonne - hence the substantial lifting eye atop.

The battery-enabled 'Greenvac' VTH-250-A, also shown below, is one of three such units made by Hamevac. Product names generally indicating operating parameters, the VTH-250-A can lift up to to 250kg and the VTH-500-A raises 500kg, although the smaller VTH-150-BL can manage 200kg. Why they don't just call it the VTH-200-BL is anyone's guess, but such are the mysteries of construction equipment nomenclature.

Last, but by no means least, new splitters from Almi. Many hirers seem to have similar items in the fleet and the veritable spoilheap of broken blocks at the end of the day proved their efficacy, so keep an eye out for these and the other new items appearing on the Multiquip website and catalogue in due course.
