MKM, the UK’s largest independent builders' merchant, has invested in a fleet of JCB equipment in a partnership that will see ‘MKM Hire’ launched at five MKM branches across the UK.
Speaking of the new move, MKM CEO Kate Tinsley said: “Our ethos at MKM has always been about giving our customers what they want and need, which is why we are constantly looking at ways we can develop and enhance the service we provide our customers.
“Introducing MKM Hire perfectly complements the extensive range of building materials we supply the market and it’s what our customers have been asking for,” she continued. “I am really proud of everyone involved that has helped us launch MKM Hire and I am looking forward to developing this proposition further in the future.”
MKM’s initial order will see TC Harrison JCB supply over 80 JCB machines, along with a range of power tools, which will be available for hire at Norwich, Perth, Bromsgrove, Lincoln North, and Manchester Central. Deliveries have commenced on the order which includes micro and mini excavators, tracked Dumpsters, one-tonne site dumpers and hydraulic breakers.
A significant order for TC Harrison, Sales Director Pete Braybrook added: “We are delighted to be supplying machines and support to MKM, a business that shares the same values as us. This is a really exciting partnership and we are looking forward to supporting MKM and helping MKM Hire become a huge success.”
