Needs must when the devil drives, as they say, and the global pandemic enforced many suppliers and manufacturers to take their marketing activities online - not always successfully, it must be said. Certainly not so for Genquip Groundhog, which has just won a coveted award for its distinctive 'virtual showroom'.

The South Wales-based company was honoured twice at the recent HAE Hire Awards of Excellence, in fact. Firstly, achieving first prize in the ‘Website of the Year’ category, then its new Unisex SolarLoo being highly commended in the ‘Hire Product of the Year’ section.

The trophy was presented to Genquip Groundhog Sales and Marketing Manager, Peter Beach, by the stand-up comedian Jo Caulfield - here pictured (Peter Beach second right).

Genquip Groundhog's virtual showroom is designed to offer useful information, such as weights, dimensions and key benefits, so that customers can be sure to find the right unit for their purposes. Viewers are greeted by an actual Genquip Groundhog employee, who explains how to navigate the many showroom sectors and what they can expect to discover. There are display boards for each  Genquip Groundhog product, which instantly display all the important details.

“We had an amazing evening, and to scoop the ‘Website of the Year’ trophy was a perfect end to the evening," said Peter.

"We are also proud to receive a ‘highly commended’ for the Unisex SolarLoo, a product that is proving to be very popular with hire and construction firms. The organisers should be applauded for laying on such a great occasion, everything went extremely smoothly, and some fantastic food was served. We are over the moon!”

Both commendations are well deserved in our book. Check out the award-winning website yourself and find details of the entire Genquip Groundhog range at www.groundhog.co.uk
