The Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) has announced the speaker line-up and agenda for its annual conference, which is taking place on Thursday 9th November.
The theme of the one-day event is ‘Facing the Challenges in the Plant-hire Sector’, a subject which is bound to instigate a few talking points. Likewise encouraging thought and debate, this year's speaker roster is certainly worth the modest attendance fee - including Boels UK director Asif Latief; Mark Anderson, managing director north of GAP Group; Jim Haigh, chairman/CEO of Eagle Platforms; Chris Gill, director of L Lynch Plant Hire, Peter Gibbs, COO of Ainscough Crane Hire and several other high profile execs.
As before, former BBC news presenter and journalist Merryn Myatt will host the panel debates covering ‘The Plant-hire Sector in 2023’, ‘Fuelling the Future’, ‘Focus on CPA Special Interest Groups and Challenges’ and ‘Combatting Plant Theft and Fraud’.
CPA Chief Executive Stu McInroy said: “This year’s conference agenda addresses some of the most important issues faced currently by CPA members and the wider construction industry. Topics such as future fuels and plant theft and fraud are of significant concern to many of our members, and the event will provide delegates an opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the challenges they face currently and how they may be addressed.”
The conference will take place at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in Fillongley, near Coventry. Tickets can be booked online www.cpa.uk.net/events/cpa-conference-2023 for £75 plus VAT per person including lunch. The event is open to both CPA members and non CPA members.
