GAP has confirmed its commitment to offering sustainable alternatives to fossil fuel-powered machinery by purchasing over 300 lighting sets from Trime UK.

GAP already had over 2,000 Trime lighting sets for hire -  for a variety of applications throughout the UK - including tier 1 contractors, HS2 and Sizewell.

Commenting on this latest order, David Munro, GAP’s head of asset management and supply chain, said: “Our customers love Trime lighting towers and, combined with Trime’s excellent service and account management, we look forward to continuing the relationship with Trime and further investments in the years to come.”

Popular with GAP’s clients are the Trime X-ECO HYBRID and the X-ECO LED lighting sets.

The X-ECO HYBRID is an LED lighting tower powered by a combination of a lithium battery and a fuel-efficient diesel engine. The unit can be fully recharged in less than 3.5 hours, meaning that for 80% of the operation it runs on its batteries and emits zero noise and zero carbon emissions. Noise-sensitive jobsites also profit from the X-ECO HYBRID, as it operates silently for up to 11.5 hours.

The Trime X-ECO LED features six 160W multi-directionally LED lights floodlights, with safe 48V power between the generator and the lights. The vertical hydraulic mast has seven sections, rising to a maximum height of 8.5m with 340° rotation and wind stability up to 110 km/h. Easy lifting is via a central lifting eye with longitudinal and transversal forklift pockets for safe handling and transportation.
