Trime UK has officially opened its new purpose-built 40,000sqft facility in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

The new facility boasts a 20-person training room, which will also be available for Trime customers to hold meetings and conferences. There is a workshop and classroom area, where Trime will continue to deliver its accredited training courses.

Included in the outside space are bat and sparrow boxes, 'bee bombs' (to attract insects), a staff rest area and a herb garden with an array of lavender plants. There is also a hibernation hotel mound in the far corner of the yard.

Trime has planted a range of carbon-absorbing plants, including alliums and an acer tree. Other eco highlights include six EV charging points and 48 solar panels on the roof estimated to harvest up to 17,000kWh every year. The company is committed to 100% recycling all waste including packaging, redundant spare parts and waste oils etc.

“This building will enhance our customer support, with in-stock availability of lighting towers and generators alongside a large product demonstration area," explained Trime UK MD Paul Hay (left, cutting the ribbon with former CEO Ray Caulfield and Trime CEO Andrea Fontanella). "The company has invested over £2.5m in this facility which helps to cement our position as the number one supplier of lighting towers and power generation products.”
