Senior leaders from Travis Perkins Hire will swap the boardroom for the Jurassic Coast path next month to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society charity.
TP Managing Director Ian Sharman-Jones, along with other members of the business’ senior leadership team, will walk over 13 miles to raise as much money as possible for Alzheimer’s Society.
Starting at Corfe Castle in Dorset, the route will see the team climb onto Purbeck Ridge before making their way into Kimmeridge Bay. They then head back onto the coastal path before completing a loop and ending the journey where they started.
The walk will contain 1,500 feet of climbing and is expected to take more than four hours for the nine-strong team to complete, with a fundraising target of £3,000.
“Everyone at Travis Perkins does a wonderful job raising money for Alzheimer’s Society, and as a leadership team we wanted to do our bit and that is why we have set ourselves this ambitious challenge," said Carly Ford, head of national sales.
“I am delighted to be joined by fellow members of the Travis Perkins Hire SLT for the challenge, and we expect it to be incredibly difficult, but we know it will be for a brilliant cause.”
