Senior managers of Travis Perkins Hire have swapped their laptops for the trade counter, to give their hard-working branch colleagues a well-earned day off.
Travis Perkins Hire Managing Director Ian Sharman-Jones, along with fellow members of the senior leadership team, attended the Bristol St Philips branch to carry out the operational work for a day. They carried out a range of jobs, including serving customers both in-person and on the phone, as well as testing and - gasp - cleaning the equipment!
Meanwhile, members of the Bristol St Philips’ crew were given a day off from their job as a reward for winning an internal competition. They came out on top to trigger the main prize, while over 30 other branches also won vouchers for pizza.
Ian said: “It was a real pleasure for myself and other members of the SLT to give our successful colleagues a day off and to step up and do important work in the branch. “I used to work in branches so it was enjoyable to roll back the years and carry out some of the tasks our colleagues do so brilliantly every day."
