Sunbelt UK has been named the 'Advocate of the Year' - Organisation category - at the 2026 British Forces in Business Awards.

The accolade reflects Sunbelt's commitment to helping veterans move into meaningful civilian roles, with more than 185 veterans currently employed across the business and over 60 joining in the past year alone. Veterans represented almost 7% of all 2025 hires, supported by a veterans programme focused on practical recruitment pathways, peer mentoring, ambassador advocacy and trusted partnerships.

Working with partners, including the Walking With The Wounded veterans charity, the programme has helped achieve an 87% first-year retention rate among veteran hires and 22% leadership progression.

“Being recognised as an advocate of the year – organisation by the British Forces in Business Awards is a proud moment for everyone involved in our business and Veterans Programme," said Health, Safety & Sustainability Director Mark Keily. "It reflects the importance of recognising the skills, leadership and resilience that veterans bring, while making sure they have the right support to build lasting civilian careers.”
