It's 'telehandler day' here at EHN Towers, as we learn that Sunbelt Rentals is going green with a multiple unit order for Faresin 6.26 electric machines.

Sunbelt had already announced that it was expecting to surpass previous expectations in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, and this latest acquisition underlines its ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability. To wit, the purchase of the Faresin lithium battery-powered telehandlers from UK dealer, GGR Group.

Sunbelt Rentals Sales and Marketing Director, Dave Harris said: “Our commitment to innovation, especially in the green arena, has led to the purchase of these machines. We have seen that they have been introduced to the market with great effect and are already being requested on major national infrastructure projects”.

“The partnership with GGR Group gives confidence in the level of support that we should expect with this product. It is reassuring to know that their eye for innovation is supporting the introduction of this product to the market”.

The new Faresin Electric Telehandler is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, which can be opportunity charged without damage or reduction to the battery life. A fast-charging system allows the batteries to be topped up at convenient intervals throughout the working day, while a 110-volt on-board charger is also included and can be used for an overnight charge. The standard 300Ah battery lasts up to six hours in typical use, with a rapid recharge time of 1.5 hours from zero when using the external fast charger.
