In an investment of £3 million, Sunbelt Rentals Film and TV has introduced 18 Euro 6 lighting trucks with Stage 5 generator engines into its fleet of specialised equipment.

The new vehicles include Stage 5 generators capable of delivering up to 250KW, providing customers with a single solution for power and light on location. Integrated technology also automatically activates the generator to recharge the battery when needed, reducing overall energy consumption, therefore reducing the lifetime cost for productions.

Sunbelt Rentals is committed to sustainability through its “Our Planet” sustainability plan. The introduction of the trucks marks the next step in its approach to low-carbon tech and environmentally conscious solutions. Their dedication to this worthy cause is further demonstrated by its Albert  accreditation.

"Our continued investment in environmentally friendly equipment demonstrates our support in helping customers implement sustainable practices in their productions," said Mike Pollard, managing director of Sunbelt Rentals Film and TV (pictured). "By committing to providing innovative solutions such as these state-of-the-art trucks, we can help our customers to realise their creative vision and reduce their carbon footprint at the same time!”
