Business was evidently brisk at the recent EHS Scotland Roadshow, with hands shaken on lucrative deals and smiling faces all round.
There were 16 manufacturers and suppliers on the day, and 54 regional hire businesses in attendance - with buyers from GAP, Speedy and Sunbelt walking the floor, and Your Equipment Solutions swelling the numbers with a veritable phalanx of depot staff.
As well as a briliant selection of hire-focused machinery and solutions, there were a few new items on display. Brendon Powerwashers was giving away Somerset cider, but the company was also impressing the new fast charging facilty on its battery bowser - 20 to 80 percent is achieved in around two hours, which is almost EV territory. Speaking of the same, Makita was showcasing a new 40V XGT battery, with a nifty charging case and tools redsigned to fit the larger units - Bosch had its new 18V 'Expert' battery system too, with a capable new core drill on display.
Husqvarna tends not to do things bay halves, and had brought several new and popular products along - a beefy looking air cleaner and battery lighting tower were gaining much attention.
Being North of the Border, we also had time to catch up with Clyde Tool Hire and tour the company's brand new depot - hopefully, we'll have more about that next week.
In the meantime - and by the numbers - the Scotland Roadshow was pretty much the best one ever. Until then, EHS 2027 is fully sold out upstairs and exciting things are beginnng to take shape on the lower deck. Stay tuned for much m0re about that soon!
