Wernick Hire has launched 'RestPod', a new range of self-contained overnight accommodation units aimed at remote and infrastructure projects where keeping personnel close to the job can be a challenge.

Designed for applications including rail possessions, utilities works, phased infrastructure programmes and specialist engineering projects, RestPod provides an alternative to larger temporary accommodation installations or reliance on local hotels.

Three versions are available. The RestPod Solo provides self-contained accommodation for one person, while the RestPod Twin caters for two occupants. Completing the line-up is the larger RestPod Twin Luxe (pictured), intended for longer stays where additional space and comfort are required.

All three models feature integrated heating and LED lighting, with USB charging points, shower and wash facilities and overhead storage. Security comes courtesy of an outward-opening steel door fitted with suited locks.

The concept has been developed particularly with remote and safety-critical projects in mind, allowing personnel working early starts, night shifts or long hours to rest on site rather than face additional travelling.

Wernick says the RestPod can also provide greater flexibility where suitable local accommodation is limited, while helping project teams keep personnel together and close to the workplace.
