Sinoboom is expanding its high-reach articulated boom range with the new AB42RJ Plus family. Offering impressive reach, generous platform capacity and three power options.
The new AB42RJ Plus (also designated as theAB1370RJ Plus HD) certainly isn't short on reach, offering a maximum working height of 43.6m, horizontal outreach of up to 23m, depending on platform load, and 15.1m below-ground reach.
Positioning flexibility is another strong point, with a 165° horizontally rotating jib, 180° platform rotation and continuous 360° turntable rotation, reducing the need to reposition the machine.
Three platform capacities are available – 454kg, 340kg and 250kg – with the highest accommodating three occupants plus tools. Impressively, the machine can carry 454kg at 13m outreach and 41m platform height.
Rough-terrain credentials include four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, 40% gradeability and an expandable chassis. With the axles retracted, overall width is just 2.49m, simplifying transportation.
Power options comprise a Stage V Deutz diesel engine, full electric drive or electric power with a removable range extender. The electric model features a 76kWh lithium battery, providing approximately two days' operating autonomy.
The AB42RJ Plus HD also boasts compact stowed dimensions, including a 2.83m height, enabling transportation in a 40HQ container or on a three-axle truck.
Finally, shared components with Sinoboom's TB42RJ Plus telescopic boom should simplify fleet maintenance, while an integrated SmartHub display provides onboard diagnostics and adjustments.
