Responding to increasing demand for site lighting, Scott’s Hire began searching for reliable, efficient lighting towers for their fleet. They found Trime’s hybrid units particularly appealing because they run principally on battery power.
Scott’s hire sets were immediately deployed to provide illumination to a water treatment works and an airport site in the Midlands.
Commenting on this investment, Scott’s Hire Sales & Marketing manaager Sam Tomlinson said: “We wanted to add reliable, efficient lighting towers to our fleet. The hybrid units were particularly appealing because they can run on battery power, helping to reduce engine running time, fuel use and noise”.
“The team at Trime UK has been helpful throughout the process. We appreciate their support and look forward to seeing the units out on our customers’ sites."
In 1998, Martin Smithson bought Scott’s Hire from founder Don Scott, who had run the business for over 30 years. The company now operates six divisions, including plant hire, welfare and specialist vehicle hire, alongside an extensive fleet of tools and equipment. Scott's also has a safety and innovations division, and a patented trailer department.
