Premier Plant & Tool Hire is accelerating its journey towards net zero, with the addition of a fleet of JCB electric machinery.
The Leicestershire-based business has invested in a range of E-TECH equipment - including the 19C-1E mini and 8008E CTS micro excavators, and the HTD-5E tracked dumper.
Supplied by Watling JCB, the new machines have been introduced in response to growing customer demand for zero emission equipment, and they form part of a wider investment strategy focused on sustainability.
Premier Plant & Tool Hire Managing Director Rob Hughes said: “We choose JCB because it is a trusted global brand that offers a wide range of construction equipment. JCB machines are powerful and reliable so they are ideal for contractors. Operators love the cabs, easy-to-use controls and hydraulics.
“As we continue our path towards carbon neutral, we value these JCB zero emission electric machines which help us to reduce our carbon footprint without affecting performance so they’re also a smart long-term investment.”
Established in 2020, Premier Plant & Tool Hire operates from a three-acre site in Leicestershire, employing more than 50 people. The company supplies a wide range of equipment including excavators, site dumpers, compaction rollers, telescopic handlers, powered access equipment and road sweepers.
