Van break-ins remain one of the biggest concerns across the industry, with modular storage provider Bunker citing research showing that 86% of tradespeople worry about tool theft.
With that problem showing little sign of disappearing, Bunker has launched three new products designed to provide greater protection while making it easier to organise valuable equipment.
All three new products feature a built-in holder for an Apple AirTag or similar Bluetooth tracker. They also carry police-backed 'Secured by Design' accreditation and a Silver rating from Sold Secure.
The largest of the new additions is the T2 Outback - a heavy-duty storage box designed for larger tools and equipment. Suitable for installation in a van or for use as a site box, it features two high-performance disc locks, a reinforced lid and a shear-off handle intended to break under force. A gas strut provides smooth opening and closing, while Bunker's adjustable levelling feet help keep the box stable on uneven ground.
The T3 Tipper is designed for storing bulky equipment such as chainsaws and strimmers. It shares many of the T2's security features, including twin disc locks, a gas strut opening mechanism and levelling feet.
Lastly.the S2 Slim Slider (main image) is a space-saving storage unit designed to fit beside a van's sliding side door or rear double doors. Its full-extension sliding drawer provides quick access to tools and equipment, while a 70mm stainless steel disc lock offers protection against drilling, picking and rust. The unit also features a 1000kg load rating, allowing heavy materials or pallets to be placed safely on top without compromising its usefulness.
