Makita has just launched the CE002G 80VMax (40VMax x2) XGT Brushless 355mm dry power cutter, further bolstering  its range of battery-powered construction tools.

The CE002G is designed for dry cutting and is ideal for operations where the use of a water supply kit should be avoided, such as indoor renovations and modifications. It is operated by two XGT batteries in series, which provide up to 80VMax of power to achieve a cutting depth of 127mm and a cutting speed of 4200rpm.

The new unit has an anti-vibration housing with a built-in damper spring, which helps to achieve a low vibration rate of 2.0m/s². The tool is compatible with Makita’s wireless dust extractors via the Auto-start Wireless System, for wireless communication between the machine and the extractor. It also includes key safety features, such as active feedback sensors to shut down the tool in the event of kickback, as well as an electric brake.

Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita UK commented: “The CE002G is the latest in our extensive range of power cutters which have stood the test of time with our professional customers. There’s no fumes, pull starts or the maintenance associated with a petrol powered saw and we continue to evolve and enhance our cordless power tool range based on feedback from those using them on a daily basis.”
