Just as we were about to finalise the content for this week's newsletter, we're alterted to the fact that Navigator Lifts had announced a new six metre mast lift called the 'Pioneer' - picture for illustration only.
As readers might recall, Navigator is a relatively new entrant in the access sector, arising from the ashes of Metal and Modular and employing the design and engineering talents of former MD Michael Brown.
The Navigator range is much expanded from the M & M days, of course, currently numbering six push-arounds - as well as lively orange colourway and a distinctive design aesthetic. Such is the case with the new Pioneer, which is currently scheduled for launch in 2027.
In terms of facts and figures, the new unit attains a working height of six metres - a world first for such a non-powered platform, no less. Further to the same, there are no motors or batteries on board, elevation being attained via hand-winding and clever gearing. Otherwise, there are no emissions of any kind, and minimal servicing means maximum uptime.
