In putting its money where its corporate mouth is, MHM Group has just invested heavily in its eco lighting range.

How heavily, you reasonably enquire? Specifically, the company has just spent £1 million buying a further 200 Street Lites from Trime Group. Providing 400sqm of lighting coverage, these 5.5m solar-powered units are well suited to smaller scale lighting applications, such as walkways, streets and modestly sized yards.

MHM's next investment is an altogether weightier splurge, in the £3.3 million acquitision of 200 ST-9 lighting towers. With four 100W bulbs atop a 9m telescopic mast, and with a battery backup and four fold-out PV panels, this solar-only equipment provides up to 2400sqm of lighting coverage.

"As the Managing Director of MHM Group, I'm immensely proud to align our fleet withsustainable initiatives," explained MHM Group MD, Mat Llewellyn. "By choosing solar-only, diesel-free lighting equipment from theTrime Group, we're not just making an investment in equipment but in the future of our planet. This step is a testament to our commitment and belief that the industry can – and should – actively pivot towards a zero-carbon landscape for their site lighting requirements."

While Trime UK MD Paul Hay added: "We're thrilled to see the MHM Group leading the way towards a carbon-neutral future by selecting solar-only, diesel-free lighting for their fleet. This decision is a clear indication that the hire and construction market now has viable eco-friendly choices and is actively steering towards a zero-carbon horizon."
