MCS Rental Software has announced an integration with 365id, enabling hire businesses to streamline in-person customer identity checks, reduce fraud risk and improve the rental process.
The new integration makes it easier to verify customer identity documents as part of the rental process. These solutions can verify passports, ID cards and driving licences, and help detect signs of document fraud that can be difficult to identify through visual inspection alone.
By transferring customer data captured during the ID check, the integration reduces manual typing, duplicate work and the risk of data entry errors. This brings identity verification and customer registration together in the same rental workflow.
For rental businesses, knowing who they are handing equipment over to is a critical part of managing risk, particularly for high-value assets and short-term hires. By embedding document verification into everyday processes, the integration helps teams operate more securely and efficiently.
“Our global customers are continually looking for smarter ways to protect their assets while keeping the rental experience fast and professional," said MCS CTO, Chris Clarke. "The 365id integration gives rental businesses a practical way to strengthen identity verification directly within their MCS system, helping reduce risk without adding unnecessary admin.”
“Identity verification should be a natural part of the rental process. Our partnership with MCS brings our solutions closer to the everyday work of rental teams, helping them make better-informed decisions and spend less time on manual administration. The technology supports the checks, while the rental company remains in control of the decision,” added 365id Sales & Marketing Director Anders Green.
