In what can only be described as a meeting of the UK ladder manufacturing titans, the parent company of Lyte Ladders has invested in LFI and the new company forming as a result will be known as - wait for it - 'Lyte LFI'.

The long and short of it is business as usual, both companies having lengthy trading histories and each bringing their USPs to the partnership - Lyte being a leading UK manufacturer of aluminium and glass fibre access equipment and LFI specialising in the manufacture of steel and wooden ladders. By joining forces, the new company will offer customers the highest quality, the broadest range and the most sustainable products available in the current marketplace.

“ From a business perspective Lyte and LFI coming together is great news for the industry. We bring together a wealth of experience and by collaborating we will accelerate product development, range expansion and customer service," explained Lyte Ladders MD Stuart Price.

"On a personal level, I’ve know Ben since we’ve served together on the Ladder Association Council and I’m delighted we’ll be working together.”

"This merger marks a new chapter in our rich history," added LFI MD Ben Walker. "As LFI unites with Lyte, we bring together 150 years of collective heritage in British ladder manufacturing. Our collaboration promises not only a diverse range of top-tier products but also a commitment to spearheading innovation and sustainability in our industry. I am confident that together with Stuart, we will lead the way in offering unparalleled quality and service."

Both companies will operate independently in the short term, as they identify and prioritise the opportunities to integrate the businesses. We hope to have the full details soon. Meanwhile, Lyte and LFI will be exhibiting together on Stand J40 at the 2024 Executive Hire Show
