There are many excellent reasons to visit the 2024 Executive Hire Show - not least the JCB stand, which will see an event debut for the A45E electric articulated boom access platform.
The recently launched machine brings zero emissions operation, increased efficiency, enhanced operator access and higher levels of monitoring to improve productivity for customers.
Key attributes include a maximum platform height of 13.84m, 7.47m forward reach, 300kg lift capacity, puncture-proof tyres, slew lock and an emergency override feature.
The A45E is powered by eight 6V batteries, creating a 48V, 400AH operating system. The battery packs are located on either side of the lower chassis, maintaining a low centre of gravity for added stability and traction.
The new machine has four-wheel drive and two-wheel steering as standard, and is capable of climbing up to 40% gradients. The platform measures 0.84m by 1.84m, with four harness clipping positions and a secondary guarding system which automatically halts boom functions when triggered to protect operators and prevent crushing.
JCB’sLiveLink telematics monitoring system is also included, providing real-time data on performance, service schedules and fault codes. Managers can remotely record engine operation, low fuel warnings, tilt sensor warnings and overload warnings. LiveLink also monitors battery voltage, fuel level and platform load percentage data.
