EHS2025 visitors will certainly be spoiled for choice when it comes to plant trailer options - with a quartet of the foremost manufacturers lining up along the back row. One of them, Indespension, will come to the event having recently won a £100K order.
The Bolton-based firm won the order with Irish Water, which chose the Challenger 50 beavertail trailer for its design quality and ability to operate in harsh environments.
Indespension's engineering teams discussed the requirements and applications that trailers needed to meet, taking into account the transportation of various-sized plant machinery, tools, equipment storage, and the discharge and collection of onsite materials.
Another key consideration for Irish Water was the easily replaceable common parts on the trailer, such as chequer-plated mudguards, LED lights and bucket rests.
The contract also included the supply of plant trailers, tipper trailers and box van trailers during the 2024/25 fiscal year, with delivery to sites in Donegal, Roscommon, Longford and Dublin.
“We’ve worked really closely with Irish Water to establish their exact requirements, and due to our extensive range of trailers we were able to accommodate for all their needs, which we’re delighted about,” explained Indespension’s Dublin Branch Manager Michael Munnelly.
