Hamm has launched two new compact tandem rollers - and they'll be debuting one of them at the Executive Hire Show.
The 2.5 to 2.7 tonne models - HD 10 G VV and HD 12 G VV - fulfil the requirements of exhaust emission standard EU Stage V, and can be used in the construction of roads and pathways, gardening and landscaping.
Meanwhile, the HD 12 GVV roller will be exhibited for the first time in the UK on stand A23.
The new tandem rollers are characterised by their compact proportions, 3-point articulation and compaction force. In asphalt construction, this results in level surfaces without undulation formation, and a high level of safety against overturning when cornering. The large drum diameter is also instrumental in ensuring top-quality compaction, as it effectively prevents the uneven distribution of the material.
Both models also have the benefit of uncomplicated operation, which means drivers can feel confident handling the machine without a lengthy induction. Plus, the ergonomically optimised driver's cabs provide excellent visibility and feature a seat that is easily adjusted to the size and weight of the operator. The models are also easy to service and maintain, with all maintenance points being readily accessible, especially around the 18.2 kW Yanmar engine.
When it comes to transportability, Hamm sticks with the tried-and-tested benefits of the HD CompactLine series and offers multiple tie-down points and a central suspension point for fast and hassle-free loading. Yet more reasons the new models make an ideal choice for the machine rental sector.
Various configuration options are available on the new models, including LED work lighting, an anti-freeze filling system, a back-up alarm and a connection to the John Deere Operations Centre. The machines can also be fitted with an automatic engine-off function to reduce both diesel consumption and emissions.
