Longstanding supporter of the Executive Hire Show - esteemed welfare supplier Groundhog - is to open a brand new training centre, genuine parts warehouse and product showroom in Uddingston, Scotland.
This not only represents a major step for the company, it's a good long way from its headquarters and factory in South Wales. The new site will require its own, preferably regionally-based staff, however, so Groundhog is presumably on the hunt right now - the new depot is scheduled to open in April 27, after all.
Director, Sales and Marketing, Peter Beach seemed quietly confident, so we wish him luck and we look forward to a proper butcher's before the doors open next year.
The official statement justifies the decision for the move - "Our continued investmentrepresents our ongoing commitment to delivering quality products, trusted expertise and outstanding customer support" it says. Of course, the move also helps to extend the company's reach and influence north of the border, and that's got to help.
In the meantime, we are treated to an exclusive look at what the new unit actually looks like - and very handsome it is too!
