Respect to Groundhog, for not only pushing the sustainability agenda with its fine array of welfare cabins, then reiventing what might otherwise be an industrial manufacturing site with a snazzy new office-cum training centre and product showcase facility....

Where pictures can often convey thousands of words, the new section neatly and photographically traces the evolution of the company - from its 1974 heyday, as Celtic Trailers, then producing its first mobile office trailer in the early eighties. The real change came in the middle of the decade, when a Swansea Council transport manager visited the factory to see his new container office being built. Also seeing a self-lowering unit being manufactured for a fairground stall, he suggested the idea for a container office built on a self-lowering trailer. By 1987, the idea had crystallised, and Groundhog as we know it was born.
