Gloucester-based Ermin Plant Hire has strengthened its commitment to sustainable site equipment, with a significant investment in Trelawny’s new 'VoltMax' battery-powered surface preparation range.
The recent additions to Ermin’s fleet include the TCG250 concrete ringder, the TFP200 floor scarifier and the TFS230 floor stripper. The investment reflects growing demand from customers seeking equipment that can deliver the productivity of traditional electric machines while eliminating many of the challenges associated with site power.
Local builder Luke Thomas has hired the VoltMax TCG250 on multiple occasisions. “We were really surprised with the power and ability to remove hard concrete up to 4mm,” he said. “Having used both the battery and 110v versions, I would say they both perform very well, but the convenience of the cordless machine makes it my preferred option.”
A further advantage for Ermin is the compatibility of Trelawny's VoltMax range with the Cramer 82V battery platform. As Ermin already operates a large fleet of gardening and landscaping equipment powered by Cramer batteries, the ability to use the same batteries and chargers across multiple equipment categories simplifies fleet management and maximises utilisation.
“As demand for battery-powered equipment continues to grow, we felt the Trelawny VoltMax range was a natural addition to our fleet," added Ermin’s Director of Operations, Mark Davis."Utilisation has been strong from day one and we're seeing increasing interest from customers who are actively looking for more flexible, battery-powered solutions."
