Who doesn't like a bespoke-liveried construction machine, distinct from all other similar models? Certainly not Eagle Plant, which has just ordered a brand-new and highly distinctive TB3150R.
There's certainly a lot to see at the ongoing Hillhead expo - much of it rather too large for the average UK rental business. Notwithstanding the furnace-like temperatures and the hulking quarrying machinery, and yet taking a prominent position on the Takeuchi UK stand, was Eagle's brand new acqusition - so new, in fact, they haven't even taken delivery yet.
Not for Eagle the regular red and grey Takeuchi livery. As nicely distinctive as that is, the company requested its own blue and yellow colours instead - plus the aforementioned Raptor, of course.
For Eagle MD, Nick Barrow, the new design is very much in keeping with a significant milestone:
"Takeuchi UK are one of Eagle's longest standing suppliers, with a 28 year trading history," he explained. "These highly reliable machines have been an essential part of the fleet. The new TB3150R is the very latest addition and marks our 1800th Takeuchi!"
