Brandon Hire Station Chairman, Brian Sherlock - seen left, with HAE Chairman, Neil Bravery - has just announced that he is to leave the business.
"After much personal reflection I wish to confirm that I have decided to leave Brandon Hire Station in order to pursue a number of opportunities beyond Vp plc," he explained.
"I joined the Group in 2013 as the Managing Director of Hire Station and in late 2017 led the integration of the Group’s largest acquisition, Brandon Hire which positioned Brandon Hire Station as the leading national player in the UK tool and equipment hire market.
"I am proud to have represented the business as a board bember and subsequently as chair of the Hire Association Europe (HAE), during which time brought hire companies together to successfully lobby the Cabinet Office to continue to trade to support the U.K.’s infrastructure during the recent pandemic. As President I will continue to support the hire sector.
"Currently, I wish to express my sincere thanks to customers, suppliers, members of the HEA and all my colleagues throughout the Group, both past and present, for their friendship and trust and I wish them all the best for the future."
As to the precise nature of those other opportunities and the identity of Brian's successor, we will bring you more information as soon as it emerges.
