Filed under: Whats New — EHN Team @ 1:03 pm

Makita UK will highlight its latest new product additions at the Executive Hire Show at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on 6 and 7 February, Stand C10.

The manufacturer continues to expand its twin 18V cordless concept with 36V machines said to deliver mains-machine performance. Visitors to the stand will see the DHR400ZKU SDS-Max rotary demolition hammer, pictured, the first Makita hammer to have the company’s patented AVT system for low vibration levels.

Also on view will be the new DGA901ZUX2 230mm angle grinder has a high-torque brushless motor that will run up to 6,000rpm with a maximum wheel thickness of 6.5mm. It joins the LXT 180mm DGA700 and 230mm DGA900 angle grinders that will run up to 7,800 rpm and 6,000 rpm respectively with a maximum wheel thickness of 7.2mm for the DGA700 and 6.5mm for the DGA900.

The DGA901ZUXZ model has Makita’s Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) to shut down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down. It also incorporates Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) which changes the cutting speed according to working conditions.

The new Twin 18V brushless DHR281ZJ LXT rotary hammer drill has the capacity to drive a 28mm hole into concrete; 32mm into wood and 13mm into steel. The brushless motor will run the tool up to 980rpm with 2.8 joules of impact energy and has three operating modes. A tool dust extraction attachment, the DX09 is also available.

At the Show, staff will be able to provide information about the company’s range of cold cut saws as a solution for improved site safety where hot works permits would be required. These join cordless rebar cutters and a new rebar tying tool.

New dust extraction machines will also be on display, including the VC3211HX1 extractor rated for Class H use. To find out more details on the latest launches in advance of the Show, go to www.makitauk.com
