Jaama drives forward

Filed under: Whats New — EHN Team @ 11:00 am

Jaama has introduced new functionality to its Key2 vehicle management system to enables users to utilise the data available following introduction of the vehicle emissions and MPG (miles per gallon) protocol, the worldwide harmonised light vehicles test procedure (WLTP).

Claimed to be more representative of ‘real-world’ driving, WLTP has been described as the world’s toughest emissions standard, the software developer states.

WLTP test results have been applied to all new car and lighter van models since September last year. From September 1, 2018 all cars and lighter vans (Class I up to 1305kg) must be tested under WLTP rules, along with new types of heavier vans (N1 Class II 1305-1760kg and III above 1760kg). From September 1, 2019 the rules apply to all heavier vans.

Jaama has added new functionality to its Key2 suite to manage this information, which takes vehicle data feeds from automotive industry providers, to give a greater insight into vehicle performance for fleet decision-makers.

MD Martin Evans said, “Introduction of the WLTP testing regime is one of the most significant developments to impact on the UK company car and van market since the turn of the century.” For more information, visit www.jaama.com
