Quiet light from Atlas Copco

Filed under: Whats New — EHN Team @ 9:06 am

Atlas Copco has introduced what it describes as an ultra-quiet, diesel-driven LED mobile lighting tower for use in urban and residential areas.

The re-designed HiLight B5+ is claimed to operate at noise levels as low as 55dBA and is targeted at users at events, temporary public lighting or construction sites.

The manufacturer states that the machine can illuminate an area of 5,000m2 at an average level of 20 lux, and that its compact dimensions enable up to 22 units to be transported on a single 13m truck.

The HiLight B5+ also incorporates SmartMast technology using in-built sensors to detect adverse environmental conditions, such as high winds. The system is designed to automatically lower the mast when safety or stability is compromised, and to provide stability assistance when installing the machine on irregular surfaces.
