The LytePod from Lyte Ladders & Towers has been designed to enable end users to comply with the requirements of the BS 8620 Standard.
Last year, the former PAS250 (Publically Available Standard) relating to podiums and low level work platforms was converted to BS 8620 by the British Standards Institution (BSI) and it introduced a dimensional change to side protection and modifications to two tests.
The LytePod has been tested and certified to the new standard for strength, safety, stability and rigidity, and to provide a high level of user protection, says the manufacturer. The lightweight product has only two removable parts, meaning there is less risk of components being lost, and it has compact folding dimensions, ‘anti-surf’ protection and saloon-style gates for easy access and egress. It is available in three platform heights, and for more details visit www.lyteladders.co.uk
