JCB launches powered access range

Filed under: Whats New — EHN Team @ 10:35 am

After two years of development, JCB has launched a range of powered access machinery under the new JCB Access brand. The manufacturer has initially introduced nine electric scissor models, and says that, by the end of 2017, the range will comprise 27 platforms, including scissors, articulated booms and telescopic booms. The new products are being launched first I the UK, France, Germany and North America.

The scissor lifts weigh between 1,330kg and 3,366kg. The two smallest models, the S1530e and S1930e, have platforms measuring 1.64m long by 0.76m wide, while all larger models incorporate a 2.5m long platform, apart from the largest S4550E machine, which has a 2.64m long working area. The electric models are powered by four 6V or 12V batteries, with hydraulic drive. Three diesel models will be introduced later in 2017.

Ultimately, the range will comprise nine electric and three diesel scissor lifts from 4.6m 13.8m; five articulating booms including four diesel and one electric from 14.9m to 24.6m, and ten diesel telescopic booms from 20.6m to 41.6m.

Hirers will be able to see models from the range on JCB’s stand at the Executive Hire Show at the Ricoh Arena next week.
