Lights on track

Filed under: Whats New — EHN Team @ 2:12 pm

Hobbs & Palmer Group, an engineering company based in South Wales, has adapted two Hinowa crawler-mounted machines to create tracked lighting towers, designed for off-road applications in remote areas. The user can detach the platform cage of the tracked boom lift and replace it with the lighting tower attachment.

The lighting configuration of four 17,000 lumen LED panels is claimed to provide a total output of 68,000 lumens. The company has also modified a Hinowa pedestrian-operated tracked vehicle to create a compact telescopic lighting tower for rail and other contractors working in hard-to-reach locations. Weighing less than 1,000kg and measuring 758mm wide, it will fit on a standard Network Rail trolley and can pass through a standard door or gateway. Visit www.hobbsandpalmer.com for more details.
