Bosch has introduced two cordless 36V rotary hammers, in the shape of the GBH 36 V-LI Plus Professional and the GBH 36 VF-LI Plus Professional, which respectively have fixed or changeable chucks. Both are designed to give more power than their predecessors, and incorporate vibration damping characteristics.
The tools have a 3.2-joule hammer mechanism and the use of a four-brush motor, rather than the previous two-brush version is said to provide better cooling capability with more compact dimensions and reduced weight.
The manufacturer’s Electronic Rotation Control (ERC) is incorporated, whereby a sensor detects sudden jamming and shuts down the motor to protect the user’s wrists. Also available is Electronic Precision Control (EPC) for work on delicate materials. When activated, power is limited to 70% with slower build-up, enabling tiles to be worked on in impact mode for faster results and greater precision.
