Speedy has been ranked among the largest hirers of powered access equipment in the UK, following a £52m investment programme since November 2017 to establish its nationwide offering.
The business was placed second in the recent Cranes and Access annual league table of the top 30 UK providers.
This follows Speedy’s acquisition of regional powered access firms Prolift, Platform Sales & Hire and Lifterz over the last two years, in addition to investing organically in its own fleet of scissor and boom lifts, which now totals more than 8,200.
Speedy reported a positive outlook in a recent trading update, an update for the period to 30 September 2019, ahead of publishing half year results scheduled to be announced on 13 November. Group revenue, pre disposals, increased by approximately 6% on the prior year, with hire and services revenue growing by around 1% and 13% respectively.
The company states that a number of contract wins and extensions including, CALA Homes and Peel Ports, have been secured in the period and that, consequently, the second half of the year is anticipated to be stronger than the first. The Group expects adjusted profit before tax for the full year to be in line with the Board’s expectations.
