Filed under: Latest News — EHN Team @ 3:12 pm

GAP has relaunched its Green Action Plan which sets out the steps it is taking to reduce its carbon footprint and to help customers do likewise.

It says that 33% of the company’s power requirements is already obtained from renewable sources and 98% of all oils used are recycled. It has also achieved a 70% water saving by installing rainwater harvesting tanks at its depots, and it is generating 27,000 fewer paper invoices each month, with more being sent electronically. In addition, forty 245W solar panels installed at the company’s Glasgow Head Office have generated 30,000kWh in less than four years.

Joint Managing Director, Douglas Anderson, commented: “The Green Action Plan outlines our commitment to future generations. CSR (corporate social responsibility is not just integrated into our overall corporate strategy, it is at the very heart of what we do. We will continue to invest in innovative ‘eco’ products, green technologies and environmentally friendly processes.”
