Martin Plant Hire recently expanded its fleet of Kohler powered SDMO generators, having taken delivery of more Perform 3000 petrol sets from SDMO Energy. The Motherwell-based hirer originally purchased four units at this year’s Executive Hire Show, and they have proved so popular that it has decided to standardise on the machines. It now has more than forty sets in the fleet.

“We chose the SDMO Kohler powered sets for several reasons, including their modern design, the quick availability of spare parts and the three year warranty they carry,” said MD Andy Martin, who is pictured (right) with Buyer, Willie Greig, and SDMO’s Sales Manager, Irene Hyndman. “Quite simply, since their introduction last February, we have had no issues whatsoever with the reliability of these generators, enabling us to continue adding them to our fleet with confidence.”

The Perform 3000 is a 3.75 kVA dual voltage petrol generator, fitted with a Kohler CH270 engine, and incorporating Quad-Clean technology designed to enable the power unit to cope with harsh weather or difficult working conditions. It also doubles as a warm air intake system for optimal operation in winter.
