Brandon Hire has launched an initiative to help charities save money on hiring equipment they need. The introduction of its new charity card follows the success of the company’s Toolshare scheme, which offered groups across the country the chance to apply for free tool hire to help complete community projects.
MD Tim Smith said, “We have been overwhelmed by the response to Toolshare, which has highlighted the fact that many charities can’t complete building and renovation projects, simply because they haven’t got the funds to hire the tools they need.
“Although we have been able to help a large number of groups, including sports clubs and schools, clearly we can’t support them all. As a result we’ve taken the decision to develop our charity card, which we hope will help to fill the gap.” Only registered charities qualify for the card, which offers 50% off the hire of tools and equipment, and is available in Brandon branches across the country.
