The Hire Supply Company (HSC) was amongst the winners of awards presented recently by Speedy to top suppliers. HSC’s En-Save Elite energy saving transformer won in the Innovation category, for its ability to leave on standby the power supply used to operate tools, when equipment is not in use. The company says this can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 2.1kg per day for each item of equipment, as well as saving on running costs.
The Environmental Award went to TowerLight UK for its VB-9 lighting tower, which has a smaller diesel engine than traditional models and is claimed to reduce fuel usage by up to 72%.
Youngman Group’s Boss Cam-Lock advance guardrail won the View From The Front award, for having received the most votes from Speedy staff as the new product they most wanted to see added to the hirer’s fleet, and Leica Geosystems were presented with the Strategic Supplier/Partner award in recognition of a business relationship lasting more than ten years.
