MW Hire, a plant and pump hirer based in County Kilkenny, has purchased a fleet of VB9 lighting sets from TowerLight UK, in readiness for the darker winter evenings. The manufacturer claims that the machine can typically reduce fuel usage by up to 72%, through its use of a smaller engine and electronics to precisely control the output of the metal halide lamps.
Matty Walsh, owner of MW Hire, said: “In these difficult times we decided to invest in the VB9, principally because we were impressed with its green credentials. These sets will provide our customers with a great lighting tower – which gives them substantial savings – whilst helping to benefit the wider environment”
The VB9 incorporates a 170-litre capacity fuel tank, giving a running time between refuelling of up to 340 hours, meaning that fewer visits to site by service staff are required.
