Yorkshire Water may have more than 1,000 suppliers, but it was the pump hirer, Selwood Group, that collected the Best Supplier/Agency award at the utility’s Partner Awards Dinner held recently in Leeds.

Selwood was one of three companies that had previously been shortlisted and then went on to give a 15-minute presentation to four senior Yorkshire Water directors and managers, on which the final assessment was made.

With headquarters in Chandlers Ford and operating nationwide, Selwood is the supplier for Yorkshire Water’s pump hire framework, now in its sixth year. The company provides temporary pumping solutions encompassing the utility’s core business operations, maintenance teams and capital delivery. The scope of work ranges from standard pump hire requirements through to the project management of full turnkey solutions. Selwood provides trained personnel on a 24-hour basis to handle planned and emergency operational requirements.
