A GGP Alpina ride-on lawn tractor incorporating a Kohler petrol engine is being driven across Europe to demonstrate the performance and reliability of the power unit.

Called the Bold and Gracious Tour, three female staff members will take turns driving the machine throughout the 30 stages of the trip that is taking place throughout July. The team set off from the Oxford headquarters of Kohler group company Lombardini (UK) and will travel through France, Germany and Austria before reaching Italy and the Lombardini offices in Reggio Emilia on 30 July. Kohler acquired diesel engine manufacturer Lombardini in 2007.

The 1,250 mile trip is being recorded in words, photographs and video footage and progress can be monitored via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. It can also be followed at www.bg-tour.eu

During the journey, the lawn tractor will stop at Kohler and GGP Alpina dealers and service centres en route.
